Sound Mind Sound Body started in 2009 and has flourished throughout the years. What started as a dream became a reality. The company originally served only residents in Pierce county, but with the demand, it has expanded its services to Thurston, South King, and Kitsap counties.
Nurse delegation has served as a great instrument to providers, business owners, residents, and their families in the community setting. The nurse delegator became their “health care partner” in ensuring the safety of the residents.
The nurse delegator ensures that the caregiver knows and understands how to administer the medications to the residents. The caregiver now has someone to call in case they have a concern or question regarding a situation. The nurse delegator foremost ensures the resident is safe. Thus, residents and their families can also call for concerns or questions regarding their care.

Farrah May C. Miran
President, RN, BSN, MBA Healthcare Management
Farrah is an experienced Registered Nurse. She is very passionate about her career and loves to work with the elderly and developmentally disabled. Farrah finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the Philippines and migrated to the United States in 2003. She has worked in the Medical-Surgical area which specializes in patients with renal failure, diabetes, and dementia. Farrah started the nurse delegation company in 2009 with her husband, James. Since then she enjoyed working with clients in the community.
James P. Miran
Vice President, RN, BSN
James graduated in 1996 with Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Philippines. He has several experiences in Nursing including Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, Orthopedic, ER-Transitional and Rehabilitation areas. He likes coordinated care for patients and an open communication with their families. He works with his wife Farrah, to ensure a healthier and well-informed community about their health and any collaborative resources needed to attain the goal of better well-being.
