We’re excited to offer caregiving courses to support the need of adult family homes, assisted living, in-home and enhanced services facilities through our sister business Evergreen Education Services LLC. Evergreen Education started in 2020 after seeing a need for competent caregivers to take care of our loved ones in our community.

75-Hour Course Bundle

2 Weeks Only | Classes meet daily Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm

Classes are in-person and instructor-led except for two self-study Nurse Delegation Courses.

This course bundle includes:

  • 5-hour Orientation and Safety Training
  • 54 hours of Core Basic Competencies (includes hands-on practice)
  • 16 hours Population Specific Training:
    • Dementia Speciality, Level 1
    • Mental Health Specialty, Level 1
  • Self-Study Courses:
    • Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistant Core Training
    • Special Focus on Diabetes Training

HCA Hands-On Skills Revie

Review sessions are held onsite and in-person 3 times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Each day of focuses on different skill sets required in the WA Home Care Aide Skills Checklist.

Continuing Education Courses:

CE courses are held onsite and in-person ranging from 2 to 8 hours. See the list below for the duration of each CE course.

Self-Study Courses

Nurse Delegation Core Training (Self-Study)

The Nurse Delegation Core Training is an 8-hour course available for nursing assistants and home care aides. In this course, participants will gain a basic understanding of nurse delegation, client care, and the 5 rights of medication administration. 

The student will be given the Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants and Home Care Aides WorkBook, to study for a proctored exam that will be given onsite/in-person or online via a Zoom video meeting.

Upon successful completion of the examination, you will receive your certificate. Please allow 24 hours for the email confirmation to be sent. A hard copy of the certificate will also be mailed. 

This course uses the Washington State approved curriculum

Nurse Delegation – Special Focus on Diabetes (Self-Study)

*Please not the Nurse Delegation Core Training is a pre-requisite to this course.

The Nurse Delegation – Special Focus on Diabetes is a 3-hour self-study course available for nursing assistants and caregivers. Participants will learn what diabetes is, how to check the book sugar, and how to administer insulin.

The student will be given the Nurse Delegation Training for Nursing Assistants – Special Focus on Diabetes Book to study for a proctored exam that will be given onsite/in-person or online via a Zoom video meeting. 

Upon successful completion of the examination, you will receive your certificate. Please allow 24 hours for the email confirmation to be sent. A hard copy of the certificate will also be mailed.

We are proud to offer First Aid, CPR, and AED training as an American Red Cross provider.  We currently offer on-site and in-home training (an extra fee) in Tacoma, Pierce, Thurston, South King, and Kitsap counties. Please call for availability and scheduling.
